Don't get too excited about a blog revival just yet. I was just feeling inspired and even a bit nostalgic during a brief moment this afternoon after re-reading some old '05 posts.
So here I am. After a year and two months of nothing, I return with a farewell post for Huan & Molly, who have one more night as official DC residents before packing up and moving onto greener pastures (Charlottesville, my favorite little town in the country).
For them, the memories from 1441 Rhode Island Avenue are plentiful. From mere strangers who met at the building meet and greet, to newlyweds sharing a condo, and of course the welcoming of their annoying downstairs neighbor who arrived in September '07 and never left them alone (that's me!), it's been nothing but a memorable time.
As I sit in their apartment, which I am soon to inherit, it feels a little bit like the last episode of Friends. Count on me to compare my life to a pop culture television moment.
DC will miss you, Huan & Marge, but we wish you the best in C'ville and we'll be certain to visit often. Just remember you'll always have a spot on the pull-out couch in Apartment 810 ;)
Thanks for everything!
